Organized every year, the MOPC has two categories: Startups and Universities/Engineering schools. Led by Marguerite de Jean de la Batie, second year student of the civil engineering cycle, a team composed of Josefine Skaseth and Annelise Pruzak from the International University of Monaco and Vlade Negoita and Matei Câlin Ceasu from Polytechnique Bucharest won on June 9 last, the CFM Indo Suez prize in the “universities” category for their proof of concept of a bio-inspired underwater robotic arm, FlexiSea. The arm, printed in 3D, is designed to carefully take samples of very small quantities of algae, sediment, etc. The team was supervised at the CRC by Franck Guarnieri, Luca Istrate and Samuel Olampi.
