November 28th, the CRC had the honor and the happiness of welcoming Professor Miwao Matsumoto, sociologist, from the University of Tokyo. Professor Matsumoto presented and discussed his concept, the result of his work following the Fukushima accident. His work has been put into perspective with those on “normalization of deviance” and “normal accident”. The term “structural” has been defined and debated. Professor Matsumoto continues his stay at the CRC with two highlights: a meeting with the anthropologist Augustin Berque of the EHESS, a specialist in Japan and a conference debate co organized with the IHEST and led by our colleague Yoann Moreau.
